iPhone 5 To Be Announced Next Week According to Apple Engineers

We are just a week away from the iPhone 5 announcement, according to sources giving information to Nick Bilton from The New York Times. According to the sources which were unnamed Apple employees, the iPhone 5 is just a week away from being announced by Apple with a ‘fairly different’ design. The iPhone 5 design will not be so different from the Case-Mate case design for the iPhone 5 that were leaked early today.

iPhone 5 caseIt was also said that the next iPhone will have an eight-megapixel camera that will be made by Sony, as expected ever since Sony’s CEO Howard Stringer accidentally revealed earlier this year during an interview with the Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg. The Apple engineer also said that the iPhone 5 would feature a faster A5 dual-core processor.

Apple Set Event to Launch iPhone 5 and iOS 5 On October 5 [Report]

iPhone 5 eventDoesn’t it makes sense everything 5? iOS 5, iPhone 5 and October 5. It looks like the 5 is the lucky number for the iPhone 5. Apple will hold a press conference on October 5th to announce iPhone 5 along with iOS 5 and will start selling the device a week later after the announcement, game portal PocketGamer reports.

PocketGamer sources provided no further information regarding to the next iPhone. The news is not very reliable and not proven. It doesn’t go with yesterday iPhone 5 released date that was leaked from Apple engineers who says that the next iPhone will be announced next week, this month.

Apple to Reset iCloud Backups On Sept 22nd, Releasing iOS 5 Gold Master Near?

iOS 5

Apple will be resetting all backups data for iCloud on Thursday September 22nd, 2011. This information comes from a post posted on the Apple Developer board for iOS and Mac, and later on reported by 9to5mac:

On Thursday, September 22, the iCloud Backup data will be reset. Backing up to iCloud or restoring from an iCloud backup will be unavailable from 9 AM PDT – 5 PM PDT. If you attempt a backup or restore during this time, you will receive an alert that the backup or restore was not successful. After this reset, you will be unable to restore from any backup created prior to September 22. A full backup will happen automatically the next time your device backs up to iCloud.

This could mean Apple is preparing to release the GM version of iOS 5. The iPhone 5 is rumored to be released and announced during the month of October.
